about Luke Adams

Luke Adams is quite possibly the most driven 16-year-old fly fisherman and fly tyer out there now. Fishing is on his mind 24/7. From that stinky pond with big carp, to the salty flats with tailers. The wheels are constantly going with this young gun. He taught himself how to cast, tie his own flies, and how to find the fish. Hearing the stories of older guides and all around fishy dudes is what drives him to be better.

WHY DO YOU TIE?

I stay up late nights trying to perfect the things most people may never notice in a fly. The feeling of starting from nothing and putting the image of a fishy fly in your head on a hook for a fish to eat is what I love.

Looking ahead I’ll just be keeping on the grind, and perfecting what I do, no matter how long it takes. I’ll also be fishing as much as possible and obsessing over that swimming critter we all crave. You can keep up with me on my Instagram and check out my latest and greatest creations.

what’s on your fly caddy?

I fish the flies I tie. On my Fly Caddy now are patterns for different species like Grass Carp, Redfish, and the elusive silver fish…recently popular keeled crabs and unique shrimp patterns have been on the end of my line lately, and have been very appealing to the fish.
